Barktastic

In writing we have been learning about persuasive writing.
We have decided if MissMcLeod should get a Cat or a Dog.
We are learning about Persuasive Vocabulary and we had to highlight them in our work. I think MissMcLeod should get a dog please read my persuasive writing to find out why.

Collaborative Success Criteria
  • The correct structure of a persuasive text including an introduction, with a hook and your opinion, 3 body paragraphs and a conclusion.
  • Persuasive vocabulary and phrases that convince people
  • The reasons why with supporting ideas
Barktastic
Did you know that dogs can be your personal bodyguard ? I think that Miss McLeod should get a dog for that reason.
I think that Miss Mcleod should get a dog because they're easy to train, they are really playful and they protect you.
Firstly you can train dogs to do all sorts of things like sit, roll over, beg for food,  and another example is you can teach them to go  fetch a ball and bring it back to you. You also can train dogs to bring you your newspaper or slippers when you're having a lazy day or you just don’t feel like doing anything.
Secondly dogs are very playful. They like to play also sorts of games like fetch, chasing their toys and chasing their tail.
Finally dogs are very protective. They can warn you if there is a earthquake. They also will warn you if there is someone at the door, so if you live by yourself this will help you.

Overall I think that Miss Mcleod should get a dog because they can be trained, they are playful and they will always protect you no matter what situation you are in. So contact the closest pet store and get your barktastic dog.

  1. Hello Natalia, I really liked your title "Barktastic", it was amazing. I liked the way you displayed you writing It made it easier to read. I thought it was great how you included your success criteria. Maybe next time you could make the bottom paragraph the same colour.
